On 15 May the Umbria Region, in collaboration with the Regional Forestry Agency (Afor), carried out a sowing of 10,000 fry and 300 trout (6-9 cm) belonging to specimens of Mediterranean trout bred at the of Borgo Cerreto Ichthyogenic Centre.
The sowing involved the Nera river and the Vigi river and, in the coming weeks, new injections will be made in the Nera river basin.
In this way, the interventions for the recovery and conservation of the Mediterranean trout continue which, in addition to the Region and the Regional Forestry Agency (Afor), sees the involvement of the Department of Chemistry, Biology and Biotechnology of the University of Perugia, which is responsible scientific report of this important action of the LIFE IMAGINE project.
