Thursday 8 May, 15 students from the Polytechnic University of Marche (UNIVPM) of Ancona, as part of the new teaching course “Fundamentals of Aquaculture”, the regional ichthyogenic center of Borgo Cerreto.
The course, aimed at students enrolled in the Master’s Degrees of the Department of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences (D3A), aims to provide the knowledge bases of aquaculture and related farming systems. During the educational visit, the staff of the Umbria Region and the Regional Forestry Agency illustrated to the students and teachers who accompanied them the activities carried out for the conservation and recovery of the Mediterranean trout as part of the LIFE IMAGINE project.
The inclusion of this educational visit in the program of the “Fundamentals of Aquaculture” course has the aim of introducing D3A students to an important reality at a national level that works for the protection of biodiversity. These moments of meeting and training represent precious opportunities to enhance the actions of the LIFE project aimed at the conservation of aquatic ecosystems.
