LIFE IMAGINE’s objectives include promoting sustainable tourism and green jobs by identifying tourist itineraries that enhance awareness of Natura 2000 sites, focusing on food and wine, recreational activities, and the cultural heritage offered by our region.
The Civita di Cascia “Biodiversity Itinerary” for the tourism development of the Monti Pizzuto – Alvagnano Special Area (SAC) (IT5210067) is the first project currently underway. The goal is to combine the protection of biodiversity of naturalistic interest with the protection of biodiversity of agricultural interest through the promotion of sustainable tourism. Both farms that protect agro-biodiversity (Roveja) and those active in preserving pastures are present here. The farmers, who have chosen to collaborate with LIFE IMAGINE, are the main advocates for safeguarding the biodiversity of these environments.
