The European Commission deemed it necessary to modify the structure of the Natura 2000 Standard Form in order to improve the availability and quality of data, filling important information gaps, in particular regarding conservation objectives and measures.
The new Natura 2000 Standard Form for the transmission of information regarding the sites of the Natura 2000 network, together with its explanatory notes, was adopted by Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/2806 of 15 December 2023.
The Decision will apply from 1 February 2025.
