Sunday 26 May LIFE Grace participates in the Festa del Bio, at the MAXXI in Via Guido Reni, Rome. The day is part of the three days of “Terra Madre Preview and Organic Festival” with meetings, talkshows, workshops and a large agricultural market with the producers of the Earth Markets, Slow Food Presidia and organic products from Lazio.
The event, organized by Slow Food Italia, the Lazio Region, Arsial and FederBio, aims to raise awareness and involve citizens on organic and agronomic practices that respect the soil, natural resources and biodiversity.
On May 26th LIFE Grace will take part in the Talk Shows from 10.45am.
Fabio Attorre of the DEB, LIFE Grace partner, and scientific director of the Botanical Garden of Rome, will moderate the Talk Show in which organic farmers will take part and bring their experiences to talk about the virtuous exchange that exists between agriculture, biodiversity and the protection of habitat.
Subsequently, at the Talk Show at 11.50, Miria Catta, from Arsial, will bring LIFE Grace as an example of good practices and opportunities that the European Union has made possible for organic and biodiversity. Funded by the LIFE Programme, the project is in fact committed to improving the state of grazing habitats by implementing cooperation schemes for their correct grazing and for the marketing of meat derived from the local breeds that graze there. For the benefit of the habitats, in a state of severe degradation, of the local breeds, at risk of genetic erosion, of consumers for the healthiness and high quality of the products, and of the farmers who can see the numerous services they offer for the protection of biodiversity and health recognised.
